The Pittsburgh Glass Center (PGC) appointed the Vice President of Elliance, Roger Slayton, as its newest board member.
Throughout his three-year term, Slayton will apply over 20 years of expertise in marketing technology and strategic planning to his position on the Board’s marketing committee.
Slayton will also facilitate an in-kind funding and development project for the Pittsburgh Glass Center. Both Elliance and the PGC will collaborate to create a revamped web site that satisfies PGC’s eCommerce needs.
"The Pittsburgh Glass Center's dedication to cultural development, coupled with Elliance's resources, will help the PGC to attract talented artists to the region,” said Slayton. “The remarkable passion that both companies share will propel the Pittsburgh Glass Center into the realm of world-class recognition."
Elliance is committed to completing web site renovations in time to promote Pittsburgh’s Year of the Glass celebration, which features the Glass Art Society’s 37th Annual Conference. Held on June 7-9, 2007, this conference is one of the many upcoming events that will address the impact of the historic glass industry on Pittsburgh’s local economy and culture.
The PGC is one of several organizations that have received in-kind donations from Elliance over the past three years. Elliance’s past outreach projects include developing a regional employment web site for the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance, producing a holiday eCard for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and sponsoring the 37th Annual Amateur Athletic Union’s Junior Olympic Games.
