Black Box Corporation reported a recent surge in online sales, which is credited to their redesigned web site.
Elliance's overall web strategy for Black Box included revamping the look, content and navigation of their web site, applying eCommerce search engine optimization to the new site and using email marketing to drive more customers to the site.
"Our online sales have increased 29 percent since the launch of the web site, and we've experienced a 30 percent increase in visitor traffic," says Julie Lyda, director of marketing and sales for Black Box. "Elliance has made our web site more efficient and, in turn, more user friendly."
New web site features include a simplified site search, expanded views of product images, streamlined site navigation, plus a new customer profile section. The customer profile section, called My Black Box, is a fast and secure way for customers to check order status, account history, special pricing, and more.
Coupled with the web site renovations, Elliance designed a creative strategy for Black Box using Elliance's email product, ennectMail to distribute product promotions to potential customers on Black Box's e-mail list.
Within the first two months of using ennectMail, Black Box Corporation's click-through rates catapulted to new heights. 28 percent of businesses who received the promotional email clicked on the link to view the offer. According to MarketingSherpa, Inc., the average click-through rate for a segmented promotional campaign is approximately 6.68 percent.
