By using a powerful one-two combination of vivid imagery and targeted messaging, the website, http://mba.sustainability.duq.edu, for the new MBA program at the Duquesne University Donahue School of Business is as unique as the program itself.
Duquesne turned to Pittsburgh Web development firm, Elliance, to develop a site that would communicate the destination quality of the program, distinguish the MBA Web site from the university’s existing sites, attract a global audience of early and mid-career professionals, and draw corporate partners.
Since this is a relatively new program, it began in fall 2007, Duquesne wanted to double enrollment in the second year. In order to achieve these results, they knew they needed a Web site that would truly stand out.
The result of the redesign is a Web site with dramatically different brand positioning, messaging and design. Prospective MBA students now find a site that’s enticing and informative. With rich visuals and easy-to-find information, the process of applying to the program is straightforward.
The new site incorporates both higher ed and corporate graphic design elements. Elliance leveraged photos for maximum impact, including galleries featuring current students and activities. Intuitive information architecture makes the site clear and easy to navigate, while never shortchanging breadth and depth of information.
