Los Angeles Area's Maps.com Sales Increase 30% After Website Redesign

Elliance recently met an aggressive deadline to redesign maps.com’s entire website. The site, which went live on January 1, 2005, has been organize to enhance the ease of use for both the customers and the employees who manage the site’s content.

“Listening to our customers' needs is always a foremost priority for us, so Elliance's improved presentation of the thousands of products in the Maps.com Map & Travel Store, intuitive navigation toolbars and outstanding design and branding have been very well received,” said John Serpa, president of Los Angeles area Maps.com.

By separating the consumer and business services and improving both the information design and the visual design, it’s now easier for website customers to find what they’re looking for. One of the most noticeable changes is the addition of product photos to the home page. Presenting the content in a visual appealing manner has resulted in a substantial increase in sales.

“The improvements were so effective that as a result, we've witnessed a 30% increase in sales since January first," added Serpa.

Elliance also revamped the site’s content management system (CMS) so technical skills are not necessary to make changes to the site.
