Elliance® was recently awarded a Best in Class Interactive Media Award (IMA), in the medical website design category, for developing the UPMC Minimally Invasive Brain Surgery website (http://brainsurgery.upmc.com). Previously, Elliance has won five other Best in Class IMAs in a variety of categories, including manufacturing, nonprofit, school, and university. This award is further validation that Elliance, Inc. is a leader in the industry, able to effectively and efficiently develop powerful and appealing websites for their clients.
When designing the UPMC brain surgery site, Elliance was tasked with developing a website that informs prospective patients and their families, as well physicians, about the range of conditions treated with these minimally invasive surgical techniques. With the new website, strong information architecture and design, persistent calls to action, branding elements and messaging, combine to make a memorable user experience. UPMC officials have described the site as “setting a new standard” for one of the nation’s premier academic medical centers.
