The rapid adoption of smart phones and tablets has forever changed how people consume media. This is good for the consumer, yet frustrating for organizations that want their publication to look good in print, on the web, on a tablet and a smart phone. The upcoming webinar, Growing Readership: Making the Most of Your Magazine in the Age of Mobile Media, on May 16th, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST. will teach organizations about responsive web design.

The term “responsive web design” was first used in 2010 by Ethan Marcotte to describe a web design approach that lets the website adapt to the viewing environment. In other words, the magazine is created once to look good on all devices.

This webinar, hosted by Elliance, will explain responsive design and show how it is revolutionizing the way online magazines are designed, delivered and experienced. Done correctly, this can help build readership, streamline the editorial process and save money. In addition, some of the up-front challenges of responsive web design for magazines will be reviewed.
