The Role of Content & Storytelling in Higher Education Marketing Presented at Upcoming Seminar
Tuesday, May 22, 2012
How are colleges leveraging the power of content and the art of storytelling to engage their most important heroes—their “right fit” prospects, parents, alumni and donors? Why are old school marketing tactics that talk at these key stakeholders giving way to higher education marketing tactics that capture their interests by placing them in the heart of the story? These are a few of the questions to be answered at a seminar "Find A Hero. Be A Hero: The Role of Content & Storytelling in Higher Education Marketing," on May 30th at The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois.
This seminar, hosted by Elliance, will explore how future-minded colleges and universities are leveraging the latest higher education marketing channels, the art of storytelling and power of content to engage critical audiences and tell their brand-centric story across all traditional and emerging media channels.
Some of the topics covered will include: how colleges can integrate social media into their content strategies; how to get more traction from status updates, tweets, blog entries, press releases and videos; and how an integrated content strategy can drive search engine ranking and online visibility.
"There have never been more opportunities for colleges to engage with key stakeholders. But the plethora of channels and the sheer volume of content published each day make it harder than ever to stand out and make meaningful connections,” explained Abu Noaman, CEO of Elliance. “The colleges that are rising above the noise are leveraging content strategies, multi-media channels and their unique brand strengths.”
Noaman has shared his expertise at major higher education conferences across the country including eduWeb, the American Marketing Association’s Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education, The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals and other key groups of educators.
Elliance has helped colleges and universities throughout the country with their higher education marketing needs and was recently recognized by the Higher Education Marketing Report’s 27th Annual Education Advertising Awards for the website they created on behalf of St. Edward’s University.
